Why get a Proactive Healthscreen?

Standard health screening is a process of detecting and identifying disease or medical conditions in apparently healthy people. Proactive Healthscreening adds an extra layer of sophistication, by offering unrivalled access to state-of-the-art diagnostic testing leveraging on our expertise in long term wellness and health-span.

In collaboration with The Guildford Private General Practice , SCVC offers sophisticated technologies on top of health screening packages. With heart and metabolic diseases topping the charts in people as they age, it makes sense for a specialist cardiovascular and metabolic centre of expertise to host a modern health screen. We provide access to the latest advanced medical technology, including add-on tests such as visceral adipose tissue (VAT) assessment by DEXA or low dose CT, Prostate MRI, early detection of coronary artery disease using Cardiac CT with AI and metabolic poor health.

Every Proactive Healthscreen offers a 60 minute ‘in depth’ consultation and examination by an experienced GP with opportunity for any concerns to be discussed, along with a clear action plan.

The Surrey Cardiovascular Clinic was established in 2006, and hosts HeartScan direct, a leading imaging provider that uses the latest AI to provide the most accurate diagnostic tests. We specialise in cardiac and metabolic conditions,  so are well placed to offer specialist tests such as our nutritional DNA test, Carbohydrate resilience test, exercise treadmill ECG and other imaging tests such as  DEXA, CT and Prostate MRIs. The Guildford Private GP Practice are experienced GPs who have been offering expert health assessments for the past 10 years. The alliance between experienced GPs and a specialist cardiovascular and imaging centre allows us to offer a truly unique service.

You and your GP can gain access to an unrivalled range of sophisticated imaging and metabolic tests that have been developed over 20 years as part of our cardiovascular prevention programs.

A stress ECG is included in our Proactive Elite and Ultra packages and is also available as an optional add-on to our Proactive Standard Healthscreen.

Our Proactive Packages and Prices

We offer three Proactive health screen packages. Each include a 60 minute assessment by an experienced private GP, along with blood, stool and urine tests and, some of our specialist tests. See below for what each package includes. All have the option of additional testing from our add-ons, as required.

Proactive Health: Essential (from £399)

This foundational healthscreen includes:

  • Blood pressure check
  • Weight, height and waist measurements (including height-to-waist ratio)
  • 12-lead ECG
  • Blood panel: lipids, HbA1c, hsCRP and full blood count
  • Women: women’s health bloods (vitamin D, thyroid T3/T4/TSH, iron studies, FSH and oestradiol)
  • Men: same-day urine dipstick check and PSA blood test
  • 14-day continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) with report

 

Specialist referrals or imaging will be arranged when necessary.

NB Where a patient has decided to have an add-on test, we would recommend having the test(s) before the GP appointment so that the results can be discussed as part of the consultation.

Proactive Health: Elite (from £1,399)

The mid-tier healthscreening package includes:

  • Blood pressure check
  • Weight, height and waist measurements (including height-to-waist ratio)
  • 12-lead ECG
  • Blood panel: lipids, HbA1c, hsCRP and full blood count
  • Women: women’s health bloods (vitamin D, thyroid T3/T4/TSH, iron studies, FSH and oestradiol)
  • Men: same-day urine dipstick check and PSA blood test
  • 14-day continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) with report
  • Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) blood test
  • Exercise ECG
  • Screening echocardiogram
  • Women: DEXA bone density scan
  • Men: low-dose CT visceral fat (VAT) scan

Subject to medical referral and IR(ME)R justification.

Specialist referrals or imaging will be arranged when necessary.

Proactive Health: Ultra (from £3,599)

With our top package, your healthscreen includes:

  • CT coronary angiogram
  • CaRi Heart FAI analysis
  • Blood pressure check
  • Weight, height and waist measurements (including height-to-waist ratio)
  • 12-lead ECG
  • Blood panel: lipids, HbA1c, hsCRP and full blood count
  • Women: women’s health bloods (vitamin D, thyroid T3/T4/TSH, iron studies, FSH and oestradiol)
  • Men: same-day urine dipstick check and PSA blood test
  • 14-day continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) with report
  • Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) blood test
  • Women: DEXA bone density scan
  • Men: low-dose CT visceral fat (VAT) scan
  • Galleri® multi-cancer early detection test

Subject to medical referral and IR(ME)R justification. Includes cardiac CT, so we need your date of birth when you book (the age bracket spans the age-30 cut-off).

Proactive Package FAQS

What can our Proactive Health Elite package add?

The resting ECG is often completely normal in patients who have severe obstructive coronary artery disease, changing only on exercise or after a heart attack or damage has occurred. In addition, the ECG may be normal during the early stages of cardiomyopathy. Our Proactive Health Elite package is more likely to detect these conditions using stress ECG.

What can our Proactive Health Ultra package add?

The resting ECG can often be completely normal in patients who have less severe forms of obstructive coronary artery disease. In addition the HbA1c blood test and resting ECG may be normal in patients with early non-diabetic hyperglycaemia or hypertension. Some conditions are only detected by the Cardiac CT FAI and metabolic health assessment used in our Proactive Health Ultra package.
