
Dr Aye Seint Naing
Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology
Dr Naing graduated from King’s College London in 2005 and has been a Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist since 2016. She is currently based at Frimley Park Hospital, where she leads the Parathyroid and Complex Thyroid Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and co-leads the Antenatal Diabetes Endocrine Service. She is also an active member of the Cardio-Renal-Metabolic MDT, contributing to integrated care for complex patients.
Dr Naing has a special interest in thyroid/parathyroid and metabolic health, with a particular focus on taking a holistic approach to managing endocrine conditions. She is passionate about empowering patients through lifestyle modification and personalised care to help
optimise long-term health and wellbeing.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Naing is deeply involved in medical education. She previously served as the Training Programme Director for Foundation Doctors at Frimley and undergraduate tutor for final-year Southampton medical students. She is also an experienced Royal College of Physicians (RCP) PACES examiner and has delivered lectures at the University of Surrey Medical School. Dr Naing is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP, London), recognising her contributions to the field of medicine.
Her research interests include serving as an investigator in trials for novel diabetes therapies and treatments for thyroid eye disease.
Based in Guildford, Dr. Naing is a passionate reader, home cook, and travel enthusiast who loves exploring new places and cuisines. When not planning the next adventure, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two children and staying active. Family, food, and fitness provide her with daily motivation.
